FL30CK - 'Goose'

Meaning Behind the Art:
Immerse yourself in the mesmerising world of abstract geometry with "FL30CK - Goose." This extraordinary piece is a manifestation of code-driven artistry, where Daedalus, The Innovator, utilises custom JavaScript code and the precision of a CNC Pen Plotter to create captivating and unique geometric forms.

He started with building a physics framework in javascript for 'Boids'. Boids are a model of how birds move, and more importantly, 'flock'. Hence the name to this collection being 'FL30CK' (there are 30 pieces). Each piece you see, starts with a word, a name for a bird that exhibits flocking behaviour in nature, for example pigeon. The word pigeon is converted to a unique number using a hashing algorithm. This unique number becomes the seed value for the generation.

Each generation has a tonne of varying factors - how many boids, there max acceleration, the distribution on sizes, the sample rate (how frequently do we draw their movements), the strength of their attractions and repulsions etc. This gives each piece a unique 'vibe'. For example, some pieces have a fine granularity, where as some look rather coarse. Some have more smaller boids, where as some pieces have consistently larger pieces. Some pieces use a stronger force of attraction, forcing the boids to huddle closer together rather than spread out.
